Reimax participating in EU’s Conflict Minerals project

Armed conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries are financed through selling of certain minerals. Armed forces are governing these areas and they are conducting severe human rights violations. These forces sell the so-called conflict minerals (gold, tantalum, tin, tungsten) around the world. Companies can influence with responsible investments and thusly preventing the finance of these conflicts. Reimax follows up its suppliers and demands commitment to the responsible acquisition of conflict minerals.

EU is implementing legislation on due diligence – chains of conflict minerals in 2021. Reimax has been selected by the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency TUKES to represent Finland in the testing period of reporting conflict minerals due diligence – chains. Testing period is held on 21.3.2019-12.04.2019.
