Reimax strengthened the company by purchasing Arr-Systems, a producer of automation cabinets, electric distribution switchgear and wiring harnesses, located in Oulu, Finland. With the purchase Reimax Group strengthens its service capabilities in wiring harnesses and automation cabinet manufacturing. The sale, which includes all shares, was finalized on December 14, 2020.
Reimax has now three factories in Finland and subsidiary Reimax Electronics Oü in Estonia. The factories are located in Nurmijärvi, Salo and Oulu in Finland and Tallinn in Estonia.
“Arr-Systems will give us better accessibility on the automation cabinets and wiring harnesses and they bring with them long-term know-how and additional production capability. Versatility is one of the strengths of Reimax and Arr-Systems supplements us perfectly” remarks Reijo Laine, Managing Director of Reimax.
The acquisition upholds the Reimax business plan of growing, strengthening and offering versatile and adaptable products to current and new customers. The acquisition improves Reimax’s competitiveness and in the future, it will be better equipped to serve customers who are concentrated on assembly.

Reimax’s retail product family is complemented by socket-spiral cables suitable for the Winsta connector system. They are designed for efficient power distribution in stores and offices. The spiral can be used for many applications and purposes, and when hung from the ceiling, the spiral does not get in the way, thus significantly increasing comfort and safety.
There is a choice of PUR or PVC cable with several different socket options. Cable selection is affected by operating conditions. Sturdy PUR withstands harsh conditions and is oil and chemical resistant. In addition, the PUR cables are cut resistant and can handle high mechanical wear.
Special PVC, on the other hand, is a cost-effective solution for interiors where the comfort and safety provided by the spiral is needed. The cable colors are black and orange with the PUR sheath and white with the PVC sheath.
The sales office of Reimax Kempele has moved to a new location. Reimax Kempele’s new address is Voimatie 1 B 2, 90440 Kempele.

CSA International certification indicates that a product, process or service has been tested to a Canadian or U.S. standard. Armed conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries are financed through selling of certain minerals. Armed forces are governing these areas and they are conducting severe human rights violations. These forces sell the so-called conflict minerals (gold, tantalum, tin, tungsten) around the world. Companies can influence with responsible investments and thusly preventing the finance of these conflicts. Reimax follows up its suppliers and demands commitment to the responsible acquisition of conflict minerals.
EU is implementing legislation on due diligence – chains of conflict minerals in 2021. Reimax has been selected by the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency TUKES to represent Finland in the testing period of reporting conflict minerals due diligence – chains. Testing period is held on 21.3.2019-12.04.2019.

Thomas Ohlström has started as a Sales Manager in February 18th, 2019. Ohlström is responsible for our retail products as well as for markets in Sweden and Baltic region. Ohlström’s educational background is in electronics and he is an experienced salesperson in the industry of electricity. Ohlström will answer your questions regarding for example extension cords, sockets for extension cords, heating cables and connection cables.
We have been investing in softwares, equipments and machinery this year to serve our customers even better. We have upgraded our enterprise resource planning system in September. The deployment of the system went without problems and did not cause any delays in our operations. We have also implemented a new maintenance and calibration software which helps us to maintain our and customers equipments and machines.
We increased our testing capacity with alternating voltage tester, which is compatible with SFS 5993, SFS-EN 61242 standards. We test all the extension cords we manufacture to ensure the compliance with directives and above all the operational safety. In addition we have invested in our insert molding sector with horizontal and vertical molding machines. These machines complement the existing machinery and bring additional capacity for our use.
